What makes The Garden Foundation different? With our small class sizes and personalized approach, we are enhancing the quality of life for those we serve by tailoring experiences to their unique needs.

We provide daily classes with opportunities for continued growth and development with elements of recreation, friendship and FUN!

  • The Garden Foundation’s GROW Program serves clients of every ability level with the support they need to flourish and thrive.
  • We welcome verbal and nonverbal alike, those who are highly independent alongside those who might need a little extra help.
  • At The Garden Foundation, we ensure that every person is empowered to reach their fullest potential.
  • We are fully inclusive and have same age peers working and learning alongside our clients to provide a positive and enriching experience
  • We have smaller class sizes and ratios to ensure that each individual gets the 1:1 attention they need to thrive and progress on their individualized goals
  • Our community coaching allows for adults to have more fulfilling life experiences

He’s learned how to do laundry, how to cook, how to follow a deadline, how to work with a team, etc. the garden foundation has helped my brother in so many ways and I’m so grateful that he is been able to meet so many amazing people and grow so much in his short time there "

We’re planting seeds that

As a part of the GROW Program, clients can receive a community coach who will work with the client and family to develop personalized plans that align with individual goals, to encourage well-rounded and integrated experiences out in the community. Goals may look different for each person and may span from fulfillment based (going to the library to check out books, meeting friends for coffee, ordering independently and tipping the correct amount) and/or skill based (job exploration within an area or business of interest, practice in getting their hair cut, learning to grocery shop and pack their own lunch).

Goals are personalized to each person and a coach is there to mentor, and support the person in fulfilling these lessons and experiences that ultimately lead to a more fulfilling and independent life.

Beyond daily classes, The GROW Program also encourages and facilitates community engagement to set individuals up for success in life outside of class!

Training for a 5k marathon

KIND WORDS FROM CLIENTS

"We were so fortunate to find The Garden Foundation! When we got the call to do the interview and see if the program would meet our daughter Kiana’s needs, we were welcomed with such warm, heartfelt people that I almost thought “pinch me”.

- The Wagner Family

"TGF offers an environment where my son can be himself and establish social relationships and confidence he would not experience in typical non-inclusive settings. I don't know where we would be without Taylor Gardner and the wonderful caring staff"

- JENNIFER SAMUEL

"The Garden Foundation has been the biggest blessing in our family’s life."

"My son, Aaron who is 19 and has autism has attended the Garden Foundation for the past  5 years.  Aaron has developed friendships, learned to play the guitar, obtained his health card for Dig it! Coffee Co, participated in community service projects, and so much more. He truly has found his place."

- SARA LIMBAUGH

Your program is amazing!! Thank you for having a program for our kids to feel like they belong. A place to go to feel accepted and safe. We hope one day you'll have a program for Hawaii!!

- lotus seamster

Macy has always been just fine on her own, but she has learned that life is much more fun with friends. Taylor and the amazing staff are aware this was our priority for Macy joining TGF. She has come full circle with their guidance and has made many friends.

- Teresa casper

"Colin thinks of TGF as his home away from home."

" It's a place he can be himself, feel supported and grow into the person he wants to become. The caring staff personalizes each experience for every client. My son gets to experience typical life experiences within a supportive and inclusive environment. Until attending TGF, my son had no interest in social friendships. After 3-years, Colin has become socially confident as he receives continued support from his peers."

- JENNIFER SAMUEL

What makes TGF different from other programs?

4.

What makes us different from other Day Programs is our individualized approach. Each individual has their own IPP (Individualized Program Plan) that families, the client and TGF staff develop. Our program is smaller by design (with smaller ratios 1:1 - 1:3) so that each individual’s needs and goals and are able to be worked on. We have licensed teachers that teach various classes (yoga, dance, theater, fitness, art, music, piano lessons, guitar lessons, etc.) with modifications so each person is appropriately challenged and participating. We are also a fully inclusive program which allows people with a range of abilities to all participate together. This encourages human kindness, strengthened communication, enhancing learning and communication styles and our mission that we are all more alike than we are different. We focus on ABILITIES not DISABILITIES and help everyone reach their FULL potential, whatever that may be.

What are your program hours?

5.

Our GROW Program hours are Monday - Friday 12:30-4:30pm. Special event times and Community Internship hours vary.

Individuals may choose to come 1 day a week to 5 days a week based on classes they would like to attend and/or family transportation. We ask that individuals attend a minimum of 2 days to enable us to better understand their loved one and work on person centered goals. Half days may be an exception for those who are still in school and choose TGF as an after school program.
